Loosing a word from a dictionary can be sad. You loose a word when people stop caring about using good, strong words. I've seen lists of obsolete words and most of them are really good, colorful words that are really fun to say. I'm going to write a story with my favorite obsolete words.
My sister and I were twattling about playing in the sparkling white snow. Quickly my younger sister began harrying us that it was much too cold to play out in freezing -5 degree snow.
"Don't worry, there's an apricity," I pointed out.
"Which is lovely, but I must say I am too gorgonized by your elflock to notice," cut in my younger sister.
"You better talk quieter because we don't want our brabble to reach mom and dad," I whispered.
"Let's not fight until twitter-light... we can end this now," exclaimed my other sister.
"Yeah, I'm sorry I said you have an elflock. I love you." said my younger sister.
"I love you too." I said.
"We're all monsterful," finished my other sister.
You can look-up the meaning of these obsolete words, and maybe you'll find a couple obsolete words that you like or think are funny.
